I hope my music can spread joy and warmth like the sun that shines on a cold morning in the spring.
Throughout my life, music has been the place where I have felt most like home. I have sung many genres, and found jazz to be the one that suited me best. Over the years as a jazz singer, I have found my voice and my expression, but it is only in the last few years that I have found my own music. Jazz will always be a part of me, and I now use it as inspiration and entrance to my own music. My music builds on the emotions jazz evokes in me, and my musical expression leans towards Jazz, Swing and Soul added a little tinge of retro pop.

I love telling stories about my life, and the experiences I have had for more than half a century. I have experienced several times, where listening to music has caught me into a rare world of sensory impressions, sound, memories and deja vu. The mind is filled with such intense emotions, that every hair on your body rises. The only thing you dream of, is to be exactly where you are, right now.
When I experience these moments, I want the time to stop beating, and allow me to feel what the music is doing to me. The mind circles and the body almost screams for more. I pray that the melody does not stop, because the feeling the music evokes is so vivid, intense and enriching. It evokes something familiar, that I have missed, but do not know what is. It's my dream that my songs can create that feeling in you, when you listen to it. I hope my music takes you to a place, that only you know, and that you very rarely visit, because it's so hard to get there. If my music can show you the way, and if you feel happy and comfortable after listening to it, I have created the music I want to create. |
